Man gets bitten by rabid bat and then gets paid by county

BatsEither this guy had a great attorney or he knows every law in Ohio. Yesterday a man in Delaware County, which is North of Columbus, was paid $1,500 dollars by the county because he was bitten by a rabid bat. He was bitten on August 22 and when he got the hospital bill he was shocked to see that his insurance company didn’t cover any of the expenses. The 61-year-old man then turned to the law and found that a person hurt by a rabid animal can seek a county’s help with the medical bills. Though the hospital bill totaled $5,000, this win will help put a dent in what he owes.

This law even baffled the prosecutor so I was curious to know if anybody else knows any other bizarre laws for Ohio or any other state?
