I have such fond memories of St. Patty’s Day as a young child. You HAD to wear green at school or you would come home with more bruises on your arms and legs than a professional wrestler. I also remember having shamrock decorating contests and eating green iced cookies.
Things have changed since we all were children. Especially in early adulthood when green glitter day turned into green beer day. I still would like to color a rainbow and pot of gold but I would also like to get out and see the nighlife and what the Irish think the day is all about: CELEBRATION!
