Well, the English supermarket Asda has launched a pair of body sculpting underwear called Manx that helps men tighten up that flabby midsection. Here’s how they work:

“Manx is split into three main areas, and makes use of fabric – comprised of 85 per cent polyamide (a type of nylon) and 15 per cent elastane (the generic non-brand name for Lycra) – that compresses flabby areas. A double-knitted panel around the waist flattens and shapes stomachs, and also provides lumbar support. There is a side panel running from the waist down the thigh to compress love-handles and shape thighs. The panel also lifts and smooths the backside.”

Let’s not forget that women have been deceiving men for years by wearing body-sculpting undergarments so it’s time for men to start bending the rules as well.

With high gas prices and other financial priorities, maybe you can’t afford to leave town this year for a summer vacation. No need to feel down because you can stay home, save money and still make a great summer out of doing things in and around where you live. Even though you live in your city and state you may not have the time to explore everything it has to offer so here are some ideas for those of you staying local this summer.

· Amusement Park – Most of us have one within a few hour drive and we often overlook it as a fun weekend activity. Amusement Parks have something for everyone and you can enjoy a fun-filled day of screaming, laughing and possibly throwing up on your best friend. What’s not to like about that?

· Local Museums and Art Galleries – Been meaning to visit your local museum of contemporary art or art institute? Now’s the perfect time to do it. Make a day of it and go early, tour the museum and then plan a lunch at a new restaurant in the area or pack a picnic for afterward.

· Historical Landmarks – Do some research online or ask your friends and coworkers; there are probably a lot of historical places of interest in your area. Most of us don’t think to visit them or maybe we went on a school field trip years ago. Either way, notable historical figures typically have incredible mansions now available for you to tour the house and the grounds. You might want to go several times a year to see Christmas decorations and spring flowers in bloom.

· State Parks – If your state has set aside state parks for public use, take advantage of them! You can do so many things at a park besides swimming and walking the trails. Gather your friends for a cookout, take your dog for a walk, some parks have Disc Golf courses in place – if you’ve never played, it’s like gold with a Frisbee.

· Night on the Town – Who says that you have to go out of town to spend the night in a hotel? You can book a one-night package at a nice hotel in your area’s downtown and vacation in your own city. Order some room service or hang out at the pool during the day; at night, hit the clubs or casino, dine at a fancy restaurant you’ve wanted to try and maybe even take in a show.

· Camping – If you’re the outdoor type, this is a perfect low budget and relaxing getaway. Camp by a lake and enjoy swimming and water sports and take day trips to explore the surrounding cities and attractions.

· Rent a cottage on a lake – If roughing it isn’t your idea of fun, rent a cottage on a lake. You can often find these for rent by private owner and there are many websites out there like VacationRentals.com or HomeAway.com that feature vacancy listings.

What make this dog so expensive? Is it because this breed of dog can drive a car, do your grocery shopping, and wash your dirty laundry all for the a couple Beggin Strips and bouncy ball? No, but that would be sweet! Red Tibetan Mastiffs are rare giving them a uniqueness that other dog breeds can’t match. Legend has it that Genghis Kahn and the Budha had them as pets.

Fake Soldier Facebook Scam

Ladies, have you received a friend request or messages filled with sweet nothings from a random soldier on Facebook? I hate to burst your bubble but that soldier is probably a fake. Now, I know that there’s something about a man in a uniform that drives a woman crazy but don’t be so naive ladies. These fake-Facebook-soldiers aren’t after your heart but after your money. The AP reports that this scam is becoming a little too familiar and has cost one victim $25,000. The most current scam came from a fake soldier by the name of Sergent Mark Johnson. According to the Associated Press, here’s how the scam worked and here’s how the cover was blown:

“The impersonator using [Army Sgt. James] Hursey’s photos portrayed himself as a soldier named “Sergent (sic) Mark Johnson.” The fake followed the same steps every time: Send a friend request, immediately express undying love and affection, and ask for money.

The fake’s cover was blown, though: Janice Robinson, 53, of Orlando, Fla., knew something wasn’t right when the man professed his love to her and signed every message with, “Johnson cares.” She had begun talking to him thinking he was one of several people named Mark Johnson that she knew.”

Luckily this impersonator had bad English but be aware of more sophisticated profiles and messages where the English is 100% correct. Here’s one tip I have for all those swooning over soldiers on Facebook: if you have never met them and they’re asking for money… STAY AWAY!
