Make your cupcakes standout at your child’s next birthday party

I made very similar cupcake toppers for my daughter’s 1st birthday party and they were a huge hit. I wanted to do something fun…but cheap. If you want to make something similar you can customize them for any occasion. Instead of flowers and polka dots you could make Christmas trees, Valentine hearts or put basketballs on them for a little boy! So many possibilities to be creative!

Materials:

Kabob Sticks
Scissors
Scrapbook Paper
Drinking Glass
Pencil
Hot Glue Gun
Ribbons/Sequins

Here is how I made them:

1.) I used shish kabob sticks and cut them in half.
2.) I found fun scrapbook paper that went with my party theme. I then took a regular drinking glass and traced the rim with pencil to make circles on the paper, then cut out the circles and made them into flowers.
3.) I used a hot glue gun to glue the paper to the sticks and to glue to ribbon/sequins.

Voila. Easy. Fun. Inexpensive.
