It’s that time of year again! All Village Green properties will participate in the annual “Splash Day” which is held in the month of April when the weather is unpredictable but that will not stop us from making a BIG SPLASH! We just had snow in Michigan a week ago so by the end of April we should be safe for a quick dip in the pool. After all, it’s for charity! Fundraiser Bake Sale

The Village Green of Rochester property is hosting a bake sale event in honor of this year’s upcoming annual fund raiser. The bake sale will benefit the Ronald McDonald House which is the chosen charity for our 2016 Splash Day, to be held on April 30th. Residents are encouraged to roll up their sleeves and bake their favorite cupcakes, cookies, pies, cakes, brownies, cake pops, or dessert bars and bring them to the bake sale so the property can raise money for a good cause! The Ronald McDonald House has been lifting financial and emotional burdens for millions of families with sick children...

The residents at the Village Green of Rochester really own the meaning of community when ever we have family friendly events. Last month, we hosted a Popcorn and a Movie night that featured “The Good Dinosaur” and the residents each brought a dish to pass. Village Green provided the popcorn, turkey and beef hot dogs, and beverages. The children gathered around the big screen television and snuggled into their seats, just as they would at home, and they sat quietly as the movie played.
