Woman Gets Wake Up Call, Changes Life

Village Green executive, Elizabeth Carlson, is 70 lbs lighter and living a healthier lifestyle and she owes it to a workplace health fair. After failing her wellness screening she said, “I had no idea that I would be considered morbidly obese. I had no idea that my blood pressure had escalated to the point that it had and never in a million years did I think that I, at my age, wouldn’t pass cholesterol.” Right then and there she knew it was time to start living a healthier lifestyle.

With the help of Group Associates, Village Green has implemented a program that manages employees claims through wellness and in doing so they are measuring body mass index, nicotine use, blood pressure and cholesterol.
