Fat-Burning Cookies
Yes, it’s true! I stumbled upon a recipe for fat-burning cookies and not only did I make a batch but they actually do work! A friend of mine was flipping through an Oxygen Magazine and the picture of the cookies and title caught my eye. I made a copy of the page and was eager to try the recipe since the cookies claim to contain, “six slimming ingredients that fight cravings and blast fat”. WOW! They were excellent and I discovered that these fat-burning cookies did, in fact, help my cravings throughout the day when eaten in the morning or before a workout.
Almost everyone is trying to lose weight or watch what they eat, so I say sharing tips, ideas, and recipes are excellent ways to help motivate one another! Also, the article explains why the key ingredients burn fat and fight cravings; Cinnamon keeps your blood sugar in check, slow-digesting protein from cottage cheese paired with fast-digesting whey protein powder to steadily suppress appetite, whole-wheat flour for energy-revving B vitamins, oats for their anti-inflammatory poly-phenols and beta-glucan, which along with healthy fats from walnuts promote a feeling of fullness that subdues cravings. Last but definitely not least are the chocolate chips which will fix your craving for chocolate!

You know, these look pretty good. A while back I tried baking a cookie similar to this with protein powder and they came out with a weird sponge-y texture. But I bet the cottage cheese in these will help keep them moist and dense. Gonna have to try them and see!
i tried them with chobani yogurt. Awesome.
I never thought that Fat-Burning Cookies could taste THIS good!! VERY tasty! I’m going to throw in a few cherries or raspberries next time! This recipe seriously helped with chocolate cravings.
Just baked a batch of these with all the ingredients listed. Used coconut oil instead of canola and I have to say they are dry, hard, and spongey. What did I do wrong? Is the protein powder measurement suppose to be 2 baking cups or 2 protein powder cups (it’s a big difference). I used 2 baking cups. FYI.
Sarah,
Two (2) cups in baking is 2 measured cups. NOT the tiny cups that come with the protein powder. Also, any time you substitute an ingredient you jeopardize the outcome of the baked good. I have made these several times ince this was published in August of 2010 and they were perfectly delicious every time : ) Warmest wishes!
I just made these cookies….very tasty! But I did have a slight problem – how did you keep the bottoms from burning??
